The moment I saw the first My Beautiful Home painted up on social media I was immediately inspired, finally something that represented us as a people. I was inspired so much I changed as a designer, a chef and even as an entrepreneur!

My Beautiful Home is a wonderful legacy project that seeks to honour the indigenous art and wisdom of the Ndebele people of the Matopos region.
I have personally been very inspired by the project, as a wonderful testament to the resilience of the people of Africa, and the power of art and creativity to unite communities.
And well done to Ekaia Gaia for supporting this project and contributing to keeping this important tradition alive.
As one of the field co-ordinators said, “Culture is cool”.
